MY SHIELD

 I am not very particular when it comes to the things that makes me happy or the things that makes me sad. But there?s a thought that I?d like to share with you and it says that Happiness is a choice. It is neither a chance nor an opportunity that is given to us. We can always choose to be happy even in the midst of hardship, pain, sorrow, chaos etc. The uncertainty and the complexity in life is what make me strong. My life has not been that easy and I went through a lot of pain, sorrow, heartache and disappointment. Difficult and hard times made me strong which enabled me to face and to confront life?s uncertainties and complexities. It may be surprising to note that at my age, I don?t have yet my happiest moment. Yes, I?ve been happy but I still have to experience then what happiest moment will be like for me. When and where? That is for me to explore about. I have my share of saddest moments and the most recent one is when I lost my mom over a month ago. I am unable to expand on this because I don?t want to shed tears in front of you, and I guess all of you understand what parting is all about. What consoles me is the thought that my mom is in peace now with our creator and that she?s been spared from the rottenness of this life.
